Aquaseal Water Resistant Cables are constructed with a water-blocking tape that swells when water is applied to it. The swellable tape does not allow water to migrate through a cable. Aquaseal cables also incorporate a sunlight resistant jacket.

 

AQC cables are not direct burial, only outdoor rated. The reason is their gauge size. Aquaseal cables with gauge sizes above 18Awg can not pass a crush test required for direct burial cables. AQC cables are CM rated, and AQ cables are FPL- PLTC Rated.
